Heaton House Farm Wedding Photographer

Being part of Kerry & Ryan’s wedding was just amazing.

I first met them when they enquired with me and as we live literally a stones throw away from each other in Staffordshire, I popped around to their house to meet them in person and have a coffee.

I knew instantly that their wedding would be wonderful and it didn’t disappoint. They are both huge nature and animal lovers and so Heaton House Farm is the perfect wedding venue for them – relaxed, laid back, stylish with the most stunning of surroundings.

Heaton House Farm is also still very much a working farm so fits in with Kerry & Ryan perfectly. I was thrilled to be photographing this wedding and when they told me that Roo the race horse was hopefully making an appearance just after their wedding ceremony I was in heaven.

I have photographed many dogs at weddings but a horse?? – was a new one for me. Looking for a Heaton House Farm wedding photographer – then get in contact, I would love to hear all your plans.

Kerry & Ryan’s Wedding Day

Kerry & Ryan are a super chilled laid back couple and one of those couples that you could just see were born to be together. Their interests and likes are the same and their passion for wildlife and animals really resonated with me. Kerry is now a veterinary nurse at the Vets where I take my two Spaniels and I would trust her completely with their care.

Kerry got ready in The Bridal Suite at Heaton House Farm, which has the most perfect lighting and set up for bridal prep. This was super chilled with her hair already being done before her arrival and her sister doing her make up for her. Ryan also got ready at the venue in the stags room along with his best man.
You could feel the love and emotion in the room as they tied the knot in the ceremony room followed by a confetti throw out the front of the venue.

Heaton House Farm

The reception room was set up beautifully with a long table for the couple and their immediate family and round tables for the rest of the guests. There was little touches of Kerry & Ryan everywhere with the tables having animal & nature based themes. We slipped outside before the meal started to have some photo’s and wait with anticipation for Roo (the race horse) to arrive to have some portraits with the couple. He is a stunning horse and arrived looking amazing, his coat just shone in the sun and he pranced around on the field loving the attention. As they say never work with animals, Roo didn;t want to stand still for photo’s at all but we managed to grab a few in between him having a little play around.

The grounds of Heaton House Farm are the perfect backdrop for couples portraits so once Roo had been safely taken back we grabbed some natural portraits before guests sat down to eat.

After the courses there was some heartfelt speeches from the Father of the Bride, the groom and his best man.
The couple told me that I was in for a treat when the DJ arrived and boy they did not disappoint. DJ Tom Finkill is an absolute legend and had the couple and the guests straight up onto that dance floor and having the most epic dance offs and sing alongs. I love getting the party shots and when the dance floor is banging like this was I was in photography heaven.

Just before I was due to leave for the night I saw that there was a gorgeous sunset out the back of Heaton House Farm so I grabbed Kerry and Ryan off the dance floor and we got some gorgeous natural sunset portraits. As my aim is to shoot most of the day in a documentary style, I always make sure portraits and group shots are done quickly and got the couple back to the party in no time at all.

I loved being part of Kerry and Ryans’ wedding day and so happy to create memories for them. If you are after a Heaton House Farm Wedding Photographer then I’d love to hear from you!
